Black Stars head coach Otto Addo is unfazed about the possibility of getting sacked ahead of Ghana’s crunch 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Mali in Accra.

Otto’s numbers and his team’s performance on the pitch have not inspired belief and hope, with many calling for his removal as head coach of the team.

Since assuming the reins of the Black Stars job for the second time running, he has overseen 15 matches, five wins, five draws, and five defeats. His side has scored 27 goals, conceded 18, and managed only four clean sheets, amounting to a win rate of 33.3%.

Despite these glaring statistics, he stated in his pre-game interview that he is not bothered by statistics and dared to be sacked if his employers felt he had underperformed.

“These statistics of my wins and losses are of no use. I’m not afraid of anything, not even getting sacked. We are still on top of Group I, so nothing has changed,” Addo told reporters.

The coach also warned against complacency, emphasizing that no team will be taken lightly moving forward.

“Game by game, there will be no underrating of any team,” he stated.
