Sudanese giants Al Hilal have appointed Congolese international Florent Ibenge to take charge of the first team.

The Congolese international masterminded RS Berkane’s triumph in the CAF Confederation Cup after piping South African club Orlando Pirates to the title this year, their second in 3 seasons.

The 59-year-old has loads of experience on the African terrain, coaching his native AS Vita, winning two Linafoot league titles and one Super Cup simultaneously with the national team, leading them to a 3rd place finish in AFCON 2015.

Al Hilal will hope the appointment of Ibenge will help them rival other clubs in the league and make a statement on the African scene.
