AshantiGold President, Dr Kwaku Frimpong has openly voiced out his regrets about investing his money into the club.

According to the business mogul, he regrets pumping a lot of money into the mining town club. A few years back, he took charge of the club with the aim of restoring it back to its glory days but years down the line has not been able to get to its peak.

This week reports went rife that the playing and technical body have not been paid their accrued four months’ arrears which is said to have affected the performances of the team in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.

In a recent media interview with Kumasi based, Oyerepa FM, he pointed out that: “I’m disappointed for and I regret using my hard-earned money to invest in AshGold SC,” he ended

The Miners have rather endured a tumultuous campaign in the league, losing heavily to Eleven Wonders at home a fortnight ago, they will look to pick up the pieces when they go-head-head with Karela United over the weekend at the CAM park in match week 19 of the league.
