    President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku has clarified his absence from the football space in the last few weeks.

     



    He visited Ghana Premier League club, Kotoko today at the club’s secretariat to hold a meeting with the club’s leadership and also visit the bereaved family.

    The parties discussed a host of issues but notable of it was to commiserate with the club on the passing of Francis Frimpong (Nana Pooley) and to forge strategic plans to improve security measures at various match venues in the country.

    Speaking to reporters at the club’s secretariat, Mr. Okraku highlighted the reason for his prolonged absence from the football space emphasizing that he sought medical relief abroad.

    “We went to visit the bereaved family of Nana Pooley. We all know what happened during the game between Nsoatreman and Kotoko some weeks ago, When the said incident happened I was out of the jurisdiction not to campaign for a slot on the CAF executive committee but to work for the FA and my medical needs”.

    “However, every act of the FA was under my command and they acted immediately after the incident happened. They worked with all the key parties when the incident happened” ” He ended

    Kotoko has suspended all football activities for its first team in the wake of the passing of its supporter in place of police investigations.
