Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Charles Taylor has endorsed Mohammed Alhassan’s move to the club in the just-ended second transfer window.

The defender made the last-minute switch on the eve of the transfer deadline day after his contract with former champions of the Ghana Premier League, Accra Hearts of Oak was abrogated.

Speaking to reporters about Alhassan’s move to Kotoko, he remarked that it was a step in the right direction as the player can help solve loads of defensive many have

“The case of Mohammed Alhassan is not new to our football. Hearts of Oak rejected him,I was very surprised that Hearts allowed him to leave”

“To me, he is better than most of the defenders we have in our league” he added.

“He (Mo Alhassan) signing at Kotoko will really solve a lot of the problems of Kotoko because recently the defense of Kotoko was weak. It was a disgrace to the player’s career for Hearts to put him on a transfer” he ended.

He was part of the championship-winning team that won the Ghana Premier League and back-to-back FA Cup trophies under then-manager, Samuel Boadu in 2021.

Kotoko are currently stationed on 2nd position on the log after their thumping win over Accra Lions and are scheduled to take on Dreams FC over the weekend.
