Derrick Arthur Köhn has described the feeling of playing for Ghana ahead of the World Cup.
According to the German-based full back who plys his trade for Union Berlin in the Bundesliga, he is proud to be Ghanaian.
Derrick Arthur Köhn was initially called up in late August 2025 for the September 2025 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Mali, but couldn’t feature in those matches due to delays in the nationality switch paperwork and FIFA clearance.
He made his senior international debut, starting and playing 88 minutes in Ghana’s 2-0 loss to Japan at the Toyota Stadium in Aichi in the Kirin Cup.
He disclosed how proud he was to be a Ghanaian.
“I feel good. My whole life feels Ghanaian when I play for the national team; it is something different, you can feel it on and off the pitch.
Even in my break in December, I was in Accra, so I am really proud to play for Ghana, and of course I’m a real Ghanaian,” he told Sporty FM Ghana.
He is now in line to be selected for the upcoming games against Austria and Germany.
