Former Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Officer [CEO], Herbert Mensah, has openly endorsed his former side as the favorites to win the ongoing 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.

In an interview with reporters on Monday, May 9, 2022, to commemorate the stadium disaster, he was confident of the side play under the current coach, Prosper Ogun Narteh, as he sees no other team worthy of winning the league other than, Kotoko.

“Kotoko has almost won the league at the beginning of the year. They must finish strong; people must support them strongly,

I hope that Kotoko will remain focused not only on the title but the other matches, and I think with the coach, with Nana Yaw Amponsah, with the playing body, they should succeed so that we will be praying for them,” he ended.

Kotoko failed to win their last two home games, Legon Cities and Aduana Stars and will be crowned champions for the 25th time should they win their next 3 games starting off against regional rivals, Ashgold SC at the Len Clay Sports.
