Hearts of Oak are considering their former player, Laryea Kingston as their new head coach for the remainder of the season.

The club asked Serbian trainer, Slavko Matic to step aside following a poor string of results which saw the fans revolt against him.

Assistant coach, David Ocloo was tasked with the mandate of steering the affairs of the club which he has been doing for the last few weeks steadily, winning three, drawing two, and losing one in six games.

The club’s management and board of the club view the former player, who has close ties with the club as the next successor of the club.

Kingston played for the Black Stars from 2002 to 2010, acquired a UEFA B coaching license in February 2022 and has gone on to horn his coaching skills with, Right to Dream Academy and Danish giants FC Nordsjaelland.

It’s unclear when the club’s hierarchy will be making a firm decision on the vacant head coach position at the club.

Hearts of Oak will resume Premier League duties against a newly promoted side, Nsoatreman FC at Accra Sports Stadium.
