Hearts of Oak striker Kassim Cisse confident of good second round in the GPL

Hearts of Oak forward Kassim Cisse is optimistic about the team’s resurgence in the upcoming matches of the Ghana Premier League (GPL) after facing difficulties in the initial phase.

The Phobians wrapped up the first round of the league in 9th place with 21 points, encountering challenges right from the season’s start, leading to the departure of Dutch coach Martin Koopman after just three months.

However, Hearts of Oak ended the first round positively with a win against Bechem United. Speaking to the club’s media, Cisse praised the team’s determination and guaranteed fans a more robust performance after the break.

“Our team displayed great resilience, evident in our victory despite missing a penalty. We’re set to return stronger post the break,” he stated.

In their quest for an enhanced showing in the subsequent matches, Hearts of Oak is in the process of securing a permanent coach to lead the team for the rest of the season.
