Hearts of Oak have snapped up goalkeeper, Eric Ofori Antwi ahead of the new season.

The free agent goalkeeper teams up with his new team after his existing deal with fellow Ghana Premier League side, Legon Cities FC ended after not being renewed in the just-ended 2021-22 season.

Antwi joins the MTN FA Cup winners on a 3 years deal and is expected to bolster the goalkeeping department which has Richard Attah, Richmond Ayi, Richard Baidoo, and Ben Mensah.

He made 16 appearances in the Ghana Premier League, keeping 5 clean sheets and conceded 14 goals as well.

The 27-year goalkeeper has loads of club and national team experience underneath his belt having played for sides like Legon Cities, Medeama SC, Kotoko, Amidaus Professionals, and Tema Youth.

Hearts of Oak will rely on the goalkeeping prowess of one of the country’s leading showstoppers as they head to Africa and look to reclaim their lost league from bitter rivals, Kotoko.
