Hearts of Oak mercurial player Salifu Ibrahim has added the Ghana Premier League Player of the season award to a list of other awards he has bagged during and post-season.

The talented midfielder joined Accra Hearts of Oak midway through the season and became the cogwheel on which the successes of Accra Hearts of Oak through Samuel Boadu built their foundation to end their 12 years wait for a Ghana Premier League.

Salifu beat off stiff competition from teammate Benjamin Afutu and Gladson Awako of former Great Olympics fame now with Hearts, Augustine Boakye(WAFA SC), Diawusie Taylor (Karela) to pick the award that was held in Accra briefly at NASCO’s office.

The 21-year old picked eight man of the matches as well as 11 goals contributions in 33 matches in the 2020/21 season.
