Hearts of Oak and Benjamin Asare have agreed to a contract extension.
The goalkeeper penned down a two-year deal with the Accra-based club in the early hours of today.
In the last few weeks reports went rife that the shot-stopper, whose existing deal expires in the summer was bound to leave the club.

But in a swift turn of events the club has managed to seal a new deal with the player’s representatives.
Known for his organizational leadership, humbleness, and experience, the club hopes he fosters to help them in their title push now that he has become a fan favorite.
Asare has been a massive revelation in the Ghana Premier League with 13 clean sheets in 19 games which earned him a call-up to the BlackStars for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.
He kept a clean sheet in both games for the Black Stars.

It remains unknown whether Hearts of Oak will bow to the incoming offers for their captain in the coming weeks.
