Hearts of Oak have been charged by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for failing to control their supporters during Sunday’s Super Clash defeat to Asante Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Several Hearts of Oak supporters and players were displeased by how referee Reginald Collins Amoah handled the game, especially the penalty to Kotoko and the denial of  Mawuli Wayo’s flagged offside leveller.

They lost by a goal to nil to Kotoko.

After the game, some of the players rushed to the referee and linesman to register their displeasure, which turned chaotic but was brought under control by the security personnel present.

Video footage showed angry supporters throwing objects onto the pitch as security personnel struggled to restore order. The GFA cited breaches of Articles 16(2)(b) and 34(6)(d) of the Disciplinary Code and the Premier League Regulations, 2025.
