Hearts of Oak Appeal to Ghana FA

Accra based club Hearts of Oak will write to the Ghana Football Association for compensation after their scheduled match week 15 clash against King Faisal was cancelled.

They were due to play the Kumasi based club on Monday but an earlier directive from the seat of government meant that the match couldn’t go on as planned.

As such, Public Relations Officer of the Phobians, Kwame Opare Addo whiles speaking on Asempa FM remarked that they will seek to get compensation for their troubles; transportation, accommodations as well as other cost but stressed that if they didn’t get what they want they won’t drag issues further.

In other news, the playing body have been allowed to go home see their family and friends amidst the government’s directive to put on hold all major activities in the country including sporting stuff as well

“Taking into consideration the current health situation that we are in, and we don’t know what’s next, so the technical team in consultation with other people took the decision for the players to be out of training for a week.” Opare Addo said

The Ghana Football Association have suspended the Ghana Premier League following the directives given by the President of the Republic on Sunday, March 15, 2020, as stringent measures are being put in place to curb the prevalent Covid-19.
