Former Chief Executive Officer of Hearts of Oak, Harry Zakour, has launched a scathing attack on the current board members for their insufficient knowledge of the football landscape in the country.

Following the dissolution of the previous bard a new one had to be reconstituted in March 2024 and three months later, things have turned sour for the former continental club champions.

Speaking to Asempa FM, the former club chairman voiced his displeasure about the club’s current state.

“Where the club is going now, they never in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th on the league,” Zakour, who won multiple titles with Hearts including the 2000 CAF Champions League, told Asempa FM.

“We are not against anybody who is running the club. Togbe is doing his best. He is doing his 100 percent best, but he must have people to work with. If you look at the board, they do not understand football.”

As things stand, Hearts of Oak will have to play above their weight levels to secure their status in the league for next season’s campaign as they lie in 15th position on the log.
