    Accra Hearts of Oak edged out their fiercest rivals, Kotoko in a  clash tagged as the defining match of the league when a second-half goal from in-form Daniel Afriyie Barnieh ensured they inched closer to winning their first league trophy in over a decade. 



    In other matches, Liberty Professionals moved out of the relegation zone after beating struggling Inter Allies at the Dawu Park, Eleven Wonders and Aduana Stars bagged wins to augment their positions on the log whiles AshGold, Elmina Sharks settled for a barren draw in their respective league games.
