Berekum Chelsea, Samartex, and Real Tamale United returned to winning ways as they pitched home victories over Nations FC, Dreams FC, and Karela United in match day five of the ongoing Ghana Premier League.

Elsewhere, Kotoko recorded their second victory of the season under coach Prosper Ogum Narteh at the expense of Aduana Stars at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The game between Hearts of Lions and Accra Hearts of Oak was postponed as a result of the Akosombo Dam spillage, which displaced lives and properties along the Lower Volta and its ensuing villages.
