Bechem United and Hearts of Oak played out a goalless draw at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park on Friday afternoon.

Both teams entered the duel with contrasting fortunes.

The Hunters are yet to win any of their three matches (D1, L2), which has been a source of worry for the under-fire manager, Botchway.

Hearts of Oak have started the league well with two wins from three games (2W,1D).

Coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani marshaled Benjaimen Asare, Yaw Baafi, Ransford Mensah, Kevin Asibey, Karim Abdul, Raphael Amponsah, Hamza Issah, Martin Karikari, George Paaku, Prince Kwabena Owusu, and Oppong Afrane as his starters for the afternoon.

The first half ended goalless with just three shots between the two teams.

Kwesi Asmah unleashed a powerful strike, but it flew past the Bechem post by inches in the 67th minute.

Coach Didi introduced some fresh legs in Asubonteng and Rocky for Hamza and Karikari

It was Bechem asking all the questions of their guest with one attack after the attack, but a resolute Phobians’ defence understood the mandate bestowed on them.

Referee,  Reginald Collins Amoah, whistled for the close of the game with the home team yet to record a win in their four games in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.

For Hearts of Oak, it will be a pat on the back after a resilient, gallant display from the team.

They are up to 2nd on the log with 8 points and two goals in the bag from four games.
