GPL Week 19 Review: Kotoko, Medeama win, Hearts, Olympics and Karela lose

Kumasi Asante Kotoko will gracefully savor a perfect week of two wins, which aided them to the summit of the table, to top it off, with losses suffered by direct competitors, Great Olympics, Karela United, and Hearts of Oak in the ongoing Ghana Premier League 2020-21 season.

This week’s pile of matches, saw almost all home teams bar Ebusua Dwarfs fail to clinch all three maximum points when they squared off with, Ignatius Osei Fosu’s Eleven Wonders in a match that saw each pick up a point after match proceedings.

Legon Cities, Inter Allies made good gains in their quest against relegation, when they dealt big blows to the title ambitions of their visitors, Great Olympics and Karela United by 2-0 each in their separate encounters.

Elsewhere, a perfectly crafted team effort saw the highly rated, Lawrence Agyekum score his second of the season to hand his team a precious 1-0 victory over Bechem United at the Sogakope Red Bull Arena.
