GPL Week 17 Review: Kotoko win again, Hearts, Ashantigold held

GPL Week 17 Review: Kotoko win again, Hearts, Ashantigold held

In the ultimate pile of matches for the first round, fans were treated to loads of goals and sumptuous assists with some players grabbing hat tricks to crown off a memorable weekend.

An inspired hat trick from Cameroonian import Frank Etouga Mbella saw Kotoko post a momentous 3-1 victory over debutants Accra Lions in their last home match for the first round to maintain a firm grip at the summit of the table.

In other games, another hat trick from Bright Adjei was all but enough to end Aduana SC’s three-match winless streak as they condemned Eleven Wonders by 3 goals at the Nana Agyemang Badu II park. There were late wins for Karela United, Great Olympics whiles Hearts of Oak managed to draw RTU away from home at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.
