King Faisal maintained a firm grip at the summit of the Ghana Premier League table recording a 2-1 win over Bibiani Goldstars at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

Kotoko began the New Year with a perfect gift to their fans following an impressive 2-0 victory over one of their fiercest rivals in the league, Aduana Stars at the Nana Agyemang Badu II.

In other games, WAFA SC recovered from their solitary 1- 0 away loss to Kotoko last weekend to beat Elmina Sharks at their favorite Sogakope Red Bull Arena, Karela United were at their lethal best by delivering a soccer punch to Eleven Wonders at the CAM park.
