Ghana Premier League side Nations FC have announced the mutual termination of head coach Kassim Ocansey Mingle’s contract.

The club confirmed the decision in an official statement released on Facebook shortly after the game, describing the move as a “mutual agreement.”

“Nations FC has mutually parted ways with both Head Coach Kassim Ocansey Mingle and Assistant Coach Johnson Smith. We thank them for their service to the club. The club will not make any further comment,” the statement read.

Mingle left Bechem United some two seasons ago to join the Kumasi-based club, aiding them to 7th and 5th place finishes in that interval.

The team has endured a torrid start to life in the 2025/26 league, winning just two games in seven, a feat not befitting the club’s standards.

Mingle left on a high after his team beat Eleven Wonders by an Emmanuel Annor hat trick in a five-goal thriller at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Stadium.

He leaves together with his backroom staff, bringing an end to his three-year tenure at the club.

Saharafootball.net has picked up reports that either Frimpong Manso or Maxwell Konadu is being lined up for the role in the coming weeks.
