Ghana Premier League side, Nations FC, has detailed the core reasons for walking off the pitch against Basake Holy Stars on Sunday.
The home side took the lead in the 32nd minute through a penalty, but things took a nose dive after the home side was awarded another penalty, causing the away team to walk off the pitch in protest and disagreement with the referee’s decisions.
The game was called off after the away side failed to return to the pitch.
The Kumasi-based club issued a statement revealing Poor Officiating, Security concerns, inadequate security personnel, and others as reasons for boycotting the game.
The Ghana Football Association has yet to release a statement on the happenings of the game.
