GPL Match Report: Hearts record precious win over King Faisal

Hearts of Oak left it deep into injury time to steal all three points from the jaws of King Faisal at the Ohene Ameyaw Park.

Both sides lost their prior games to AshGold and Aduana Stars, with that in mind, a win was the only result that would pacify either set of the fans.

Benjamin Afutu Kotey shot the away side into the lead on 15 minutes, either side threatened but Hearts held on to that slim margin to end the first half.

Kwame Frimpong five minutes post the second half resumption equalized for his side, in what was ending as a point each for either sides, Phobian prodigy Umar Manaf produced a moment of brilliance to hand the away side an all-important 2-1 win over the Insha Allahu boys.

The results sees Hearts of Oak move to 5th on the log momentarily awaiting other results on Sunday whiles King Faisal were condemned further into relegation marking their fourth loss in six games.
