GPL Match Report: Berekum Chelsea tame Liberty via a Emmanuel Clottey goal

Berekum Chelsea made sure they continued their impressive streak over Dansoman based Liberty Professionals in week four of the ongoing Ghana Premier League.

Both sides were looking to record their first victory of the season amid draws and losses but the home side made sure their superiority counted in the early exchanges of the game when they threatened the vital areas of the opposing outfit.

Their hard work finally off when veteran striker, Emmanuel Clottey scored what eventually proved the match-winner from close range in stoppage time of the first half.

The second half saw Liberty Professionals return with a different approach in a bid to equalize and get all three points but their efforts were all nullified by the home side’s resilience and attitude.

David Ocloo head coach of the traveling side has come under incessant pressure from fans amidst three draws and a loss in four games of the league, something the top hierarchy haven’t been particularly pleased about.

The Biribes have moved up to 6th with 5 points whiles Liberty drops to 12th on the log with 3 points.
