GPL Match Preview: WAFA SC vs Asante Kotoko

Fourth-placed WAFA will look to impress on their home and overall standings in the league when they take on record holders of the Ghana Premier League Kumasi Asante Kotoko at their favorite Sogakope Red Bull Arena on Sunday.

The Sogakope-based side have been very dominant on their home turf picking a total of ten out of twelve points in the ongoing league something that will please Coach Prosper Narteh who will be looking to get one over Kotoko when they come to town this weekend.

The home side have triumphed over the Porcupine Warriors four out of ten outings whiles the reds will be looking to ensure that they better their place on the league log from the 6th position to break into the top four slowly under the tutelage of interim manager Johnson Smith=h.

The porcupine warriors should be wary of Daniel Lomotey, who has since scored seven from eight goals an impressive stat to say the least.

The Kumasi ‘Galacticos’ are good away travelers, one of three teams to pick five points on the road, something they will look to build on to complement their status in the league.

Coach Johnson Smith will be heavily dependent on Brazilian import Fabio Gama, who churned out a fantastic performance against Liberty a fortnight ago to the delight of the clubs teeming fans and the energetic Kwame Poku, who was hit four in seven games.
