GPL Match Preview and Prediction: Inter Allies vs Medeama

Until a few weeks back, Tarkwa based Medeama SC were sitting at the summit of the table but two successive losses to Aduana Stars, WAFA, and a draw against Liberty Professionals saw them cede the top spot to Kotoko and subsequently Accra Hearts of Oak in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.

A week ago, they managed to post a narrow victory over AshGold at the Akoon Park in a match they didn’t impress their home fans but the three points was all that mattered at the end of the match day-26 of the Ghana Premier League.

With that win secured against AshGold, an away match against relegation-threatened Inter Allies will present them the onus to deepen the sorrows of the Accra-based club.

The Capelli boys know what is expected of them this weekend; their last home match saw them run riot over Berekum Chelsea at their adopted home turf, Dawu Park for the remainder of the season.

They have amassed a paltry 23 points from 26 matches of which they be counting on Samuel Armah, Suleman Nafiu to play above their normal weight levels when the pair clash over the weekend.

The Mauve and Yellow boys will be heavily reliant on Prince Opoku Agyemang, Amed Toure, Zakaria Mumuni, Rashid Nortey, Richard Boadu and Ibrahim Yaro in a match where the points could end up at either side.

Predictions: Inter Allies 1-1 Medeama SC
