GPL Match Preview and Prediction: Hearts of Oak vs King Faisal

Samuel Boadu’s Hearts of Oak are at it again and this time it’s against a struggling outfit, King Faisal at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The pair comes into this fixture with varied motivation; the home side has since picked 7 points from a possible 15 points in the last five games of the league.

A week ago, they lost to Dreams FC at the Dawu Park, which affected their title ambitions. With that said, they have the opportunity to remedy it when they play King Faisal over the weekend in week 23 of the ongoing Ghana Premier League 2021 season.

King Faisal on the other hand, are still drooling in the relegation pool since the start of the league, it’s looking as though, they might return to the championship if they fail to switch up results back in their favor.

The club is under a huge financial debt, the sole financier of a team, Alhaji Grunsah has been unwilling to allow others to come on board to support the club financially having adverse effects on the side even though the Veep Alhaji Bawumia has in recent times aided the club with an ultra-modern bus.

On the field of play, they will have to play above their weights, having picked only 5 points away from home. The likes of Kwame Preprah, Frimpong Boateng have been the primary source of the club’s goals, as such; they will have to be in the strides to hit the back of the net.

The Biribies have since picked only two points on the road, a feat needing ratification starting with the match against the Fire boys if they want to add up to their 27 points they have amassed in the league.

Hearts of Oak have an edge over King Faisal in fifteen games they have played against each other, the home side has won 5, and the away side has won 3 with the others in draws.

Prediction: Hearts of Oak 3-0 King Faisal
