GPL Match Preview and Prediction: Aduana Stars vs Asante Kotoko

Aduana Stars will still be reeling from a weekend loss away to riche-nouveau side Legon Cities at the Accra Sports Stadium but a tasty home fixture against one of their fiercest rivals of the campaign Kumasi Asante Kotoko should set the tone for what will be the top liner for the weekend’s pile of fixtures.

The Ogya boys haven’t disappointed thus far in the league having picked 30 points at home, which makes them invincible when they take to playing at the famous Nana Agyemang Badu II Park.

Yahaya Mohammed may be out with an injury but his contribution towards the side off the pitch is immense, as he has been able to mentor newbie, Benjamin Tweneboah, who has bagged seven goals for the side, Sam Adams and Bright Adjei have combined efforts to post 12 goals aiding them to 7th on the log.

Kotoko on the other hand will be asking themselves a plethora of questions after failing to pick maximum points away to Liberty and a home duel against WAFA at Obuasi Ley Clay Stadium seeing them cede their top spot to arch-rivals Accra Hearts of Oak.

The Reds are not a bad side playing away from home picking 22 points on their travels with the likes Emmanuel Gyamfi, Ismail Ganiyu, Fabio Gama stepping up the plate in the absence of former striker Kwame Opoku.

    Predictions: Aduana Stars 1-0 Kotoko.
