GPL Match Preview: Kotoko set to upstage Legon Cities

After weeks of protracted long painstaking campaigns by political parties in the country, Nana Addo Akuffo Addo was declared president-elect and other election results by the Chairman of the Electoral Commission of Ghana, Jean Mensa, football is back to life again this weekend across match venues all over the country.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko, record holders of the Ghana Premier League resume hostilities when they lock horns with a revamp Legon Cities on Friday night, December 11, 2020 at Accra Sports Stadium in a televised match.

The Porcupine Warriors have so far honored two(2) out of five(5) matches in the ongoing season due to their involvement in the CAF Champions League.

Maxwell Konadu and his charges would have to remedy their current storyline with a win this weekend having amassed only two(2) points drawing Eleven Wonders and Berekum Chelsea.

The Royals have a new man, Bashiru Hayford, whose coaching experience spans over many decades managing the likes of Kotoko, AshGold and others,he would have expected a different duel to launch his season particularly not against a former side.

He would have the returning Asamoah Gyan to count on who almost joined Kotoko but for indifference in financial negotiations between the pair it failed to materialize.

In the last five years, the pair have played eight(8) times, Porcupine Warriors have won five (5) , the away side winning two (2) with the other ending in a draw.

Prediction: Asante Kotoko 2-1 Legon Cities
