A win on Sunday will guarantee Hearts of Oak their first league triumph in over a decade over sworn city rivals Liberty Professional at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The home side didn’t start the league well, but to say after thirty-two (32) league games, they will be at the summit of the table is a  massive achievement that needs plaudits.

They have clearly fought competitions (Kotoko, Medeama S.C, Karela United) in diverse ways to be at the top of the pile, the additions of Coach Samuel Boadu, Ibrahim Salifu from Bechem United in mid-season, who both won big at the recently held GFA Awards clearly swayed in their favor.

The Rainbow side has won their last five home games, which should be a source of worry for Liberty Professionals, who haven’t fared too well in the league; they have been in and out of the relegation soup in the last couple of weeks with two games needing all the points available to complement their stay in the league.

The away side have coped 11 points on their away travels with their last win coming against already relegated side Inter Allies away at Dawu.

Abraham Wayo, K.Karikari, Evans Owusu have been pivotal to the Dansoman based strides to stay in the league and will be needed to put in an extra shift when they play a side they have lost five times to already in the last decade.

Prediction: Hearts of Oak 2-0 Liberty Professionals
