    Ghanaian defender, Gideon Mensah has signed a three-year contract with French side, AJ Auxerre. 



    Mensah joined his new club from fellow league side, Girondins Bordeaux, where he was an instant hit with the club, registering 2 assists in 23 games. 

    His stellar performances with the French side earned him interest across Europe with clubs such as Reading,FC Basel, and Preston North End looking to add him to their ranks.

    Mensah since joining Red Bull Salzburg has had several loan spells at Sturm Graz, Zulte Waregem, Vitória Sport Clube, and Girondins Bordeaux.

    Auxerre will be hoping to make a huge statement in this year’s Ligue 1 following their promotion from the Ligue 2.
