The Black Galaxies of Ghana booked a mouth-watering fixture with fellow football giants, Nigeria for a spot in the upcoming African Nations Championship (CHAN) slated for Algeria,2023.

The Ghanaian side defied odds against neighbors, Benin beating them in a two-legged tie in Cape Coast and Cotonou.

Coach Annor Walker assembled a formidable side from the Ghana Premier League and it was no fluke as they played out a good game to emerge victorious on the day.

A host of the key lads, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, Gladson Awako, Imoro Ibrahim, and Razak Kassim reposed the technical team’s confidence by doing the needful against Benin.

The first leg will take off from August,26-28, in Ghana with the second leg billed to place September,2-4 in Nigeria.

The two countries will look to book a place in Algeria with just a spot up for grabs.
