Ghana winger Zakaria Mumuni trains ahead of new season

Ghanaian winger, Zakaria Mumuni has started intensive training in his native country, Ghana with the intention of teaming up with his colleagues at DR Congo side, AS Vita, who have already commenced their domestic league.

The versatile winger arrived in Ghana with his wife, Zenab, some four months ago when the Coronavirus was gaining ground in DR Congo leaving the top hierarchy of football no other option than to suspend the league in efforts to battle the growing pandemic.

The news of Zakaria returning to training will please head coach, Florent Ibenge, teammates as well as the fans of AS Vita, who have longed to see the trickery winger back to the field, after a long absence since the resumption of the Ligue1.

Zakaria has been a force to reckon with since leaving the shores of Ghana a year ago to DR Congo establishing himself as a mainstay in the team.

AS Vita have since played five (5) matches across all competitions, winning two (2), drawing three (3), scoring seven (7) goals, and conceding three (3) goals in the 2020-21 season.
