The Ghana Premier League 2022/23 has been postponed until Thursday, October 20, 2022, after the Accra Human Rights Court adjourned the case of Ashanti Gold SC vs Ghana Football Association (GFA).

The league was put on hold last Wednesday after Ashgold filed a Motion on Notice for Injunction at the Human Rights High Court and served it on the GFA’s lawyers.

After being found guilty of Match Manipulation in their 2020/21 Ghana Premier League Matchday 34 game against Inter Allies FC, Ashanti Gold SC was demoted to the Division Two League.

After lengthy deliberation, the court adjourned the case to be heard on October 20, 2022.

With this new development, the league will still be on hold until the matter pending in court is brought to finality.
