Ghana PL: Liberty Professional held by Eleven Wonders

Dansoman based Liberty Professionals failed to turn their fortunes around when they shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw against high flying, Eleven Wonders at the Carl Reindorf Sports Stadium.

The duo clubs were entering into Saturday’s third round fixture of the ongoing Ghana Premier League 2020-21 with the sole ambition of bagging all three points.

The home side made their intentions clear and early in the eight-minute when Ben Nash Quansah and DeGraft made incursions to score but their efforts were repelled by the Wonders defense.

The away side drew first blood through, George Amponsah in the 43rd minute only for the home side to regroup and grab an equalizer prior to the end of the first half through Abdul Razak Boame.

The second half saw both sides create a plethora of chances but none ended in the back of the net to seal the victory for either side.

Liberty head coach, David Ocloo, who blamed his side’s profligacy against, Eleven Wonders was disappointed by the result at the end of the referee’s whistle.

“Last week, I was impressed with the draw but today am not, it’s a mixed feeling but a draw is better than none”

The scientific soccer lads have somewhat become a draw specialist after drawing all three fixtures picking three points from a possible nine.

The traveling coach, Ignatius Osei Fosu pleased with the result has engineered two draws and a win for a team that was battling relegation a season past.

Liberty travel away to Berekum Chelsea whiles Eleven would be home to WAFA.
