Edmund Addo, a midfielder for the Black Stars, has officially signed with Red Star Belgrade in the just-ended European transfer window.

The defensive midfielder decided to leave his current club Sheriff Tiraspol, Addo to sign a four-year contract with the Serbian champions.

The Serbian were said to have repeatedly made efforts to sign the Ghanaian player earlier in the season but due to their involvement in the UEFA Europa League, they decided against selling the player.

The 22-year-old completed his transfer ahead of schedule on Wednesday, August 31 after both parties reached an amicable deal to sell off the player.

In all competitions for Sheriff last season, Addo made 33 appearances and scored once.

The midfielder will have Osman Bukari, who has been a huge success since transferring to the Serbian for the company in his new season.
