“Together, we share the belief in presenting an extraordinary tournament that unites the global community through the beautiful game!”

The collaboration between the GFA and SAFF has been further solidified with the formalization of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the preceding December, underscoring the partnership and coordination between the two football governing bodies.

Saudi Arabia recently made a significant stride in their bid for hosting the 2034 World Cup by officially expressing their intent to FIFA.

Since signaling their interest in hosting the tournament, the SAFF has garnered extensive backing from the international football community, with “over 70 FIFA Member Associations from across different continents” openly supporting the Kingdom’s bid.

This announcement comes in the aftermath of FIFA’s recent decision to grant the hosting rights for the 2030 World Cup to Morocco, Spain, and Portugal, with the inaugural matches slated to be held by Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay in celebration of the tournament’s centenary.
