    Ghana fail to beat Uganda in international friendly game

    The Black Stars of Ghana drew 2-2 against Uganda in an international friendly game at the Stade de Marrakech Sports Stadium. 

     



    Coach Otto Addo has made five changes to the starting lineup that started against Nigeria.

    He deployed a 4-3-3 formation which had Jerome Opoku, Edmund Addo, Eben Annan, and Dennis Odoi in defense, ahead of them in midfield were, Abu Francis, Salis, and Nuamah, in attack, Jordan Ayew, Semenyo, and Fatawu Issahaku.

    Jordan Opoku slotted home the first goal from a Jordan Ayew corner on the 7th-minute mark to set the tone for the game. 

    Referee, Bouchra Karboubi awarded Steven Mukwala a penalty on the 23rd-minute mark which he calmly slotted for the equalizer. 

    On the 27th minute mark, from provider to goal scorer, Jordan Ayew doubled the lead for the Ghanaian side. 

    WATCH HIGHLIGHTS :

    After recess, both teams went at each other but the ding-dong affair continued for close to twenty minutes. 

    Tariq Lamptey, Salisu Mohammed, Ali Seidu, and Forson Amankwah were introduced for Dennis Odoi, Edmund Addo, Abu Francis, and Ernest Nuamah at the 65th-minute mark.

    From what looked as though, it was an ending win for the Ghanaian side, the Uganda’s managed to salvage a point through Mohammed Shaban in the dying embers of the game. 

    Otto Addo is yet to pick a win since returning for a second spell with Ghana having lost to Nigeria and now a draw against the East African country.
