Leeroy Owusu has tipped the Black Stars of Ghana to do well in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Odense Boldklub fullback, who has been a standout performer for his team in the ongoing league, is not capped but has been considered to play for Ghana.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Sahara Football’s Selasie Fiawoyi on the chances of the Black Stars in the World Cup, he was optimistic that the team would do well in the tournament.
“I think for some countries it’s difficult for them to even reach the next round or go far in the World Cup, especially now that there are more teams, you have smaller countries, and with Ghana, with the players, it has to be a game at a time.
I think a nation like Ghana can go far in a tournament like this,” he ended.
He has been involved in five goal contributions in over twenty-eight appearances for his club in all competitions.
