The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has reassigned Black Satellites Head Coach Desmond Ofei.

Until this latest shift, Ofei was handling the Black Satellite and served as the BlackStars assistant coach but in a twist of events the football hierarchy has thought it was for him to focus solely on his role as Assistant Coach of the Black Stars.

According to the GFA, this decision is part of a strategic shift aimed at streamlining coaching roles and reinforcing team-specific mandates across all national squads.
The restructuring also affects Charles Sampson, who will now focus exclusively on the Black Princesses, stepping away from his dual role as Assistant Coach of the Black Queens.

The GFA described the realignment as essential for “preventing scheduling overlaps and role duplication” while ensuring “stronger focus, technical preparation, and consistency” across the various national teams.
