    GFA fines Real Tamale United GHC100,000 over unregistered players

    The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has imposed a fine of GHc100,000 on Real Tamale United (RTU).

     



    The club issued this fine due to fielding unregistered players in their game day twenty-eight fixture against Dreams FC at Dawu Park.

    Real Tamale United brought Division players to honor the fixture against Dreams FC which saw them lose by 8-1.

    Additionally, the officials who led the team south from the North will serve a year’s suspension for their engagement in bringing the game’s integrity into disrepute.

    They include Coach Iddi Manzah Alhassan, Team Doctor Abdul-Samed Iddrisu, Team Manager Tanko Jentumah, Equipment Officer Abdul-Gafaru Salifu, and Goalkeepers’ Trainer Sylvester Yaw Apanka.

    RTU suffered relegation from the 2023/2024 Ghana Premier League and will play in Division One from next season.
