English side, Fulham is inches away from wrapping up a deal for Ghana defender Mohammed Salisu as the new season 2023-24 season approaches.

The West London club offered a £15m for the towering defender, which is said to have been accepted by Southampton.

Earlier this week, Southampton rejected offers from Monaco, Galatasaray, and Westham United as it fell short of their £15m valuation of the player.

But Marco Silva’s side who have been monitoring the exploits of the silky Ghanaian defender were impressed with his outing though he was sidelined with injury in the course of the season.

The 24-year-old will have Issa Diop, Tosin Aderabioyo, and Tim Ream to compete for places in defense.

Kotoko re-appoint Prosper Narteh as head coach

Salisu joined Southampton, three seasons ago from the Spanish side, Valladolid, making seventy appearances for the English club.
