Al Masry of the Egyptian Premier League is reportedly in advanced talks with Asante Kotoko to sign Franck Mbella Etouga.

The Cameroonian import signed for the Porcupine Warriors at the start of the season and became a standout performer for the side, aiding them to the Ghana Premier League 2021/22 trophy.

Mbella’s performance for Kotoko saw a series of suitors line up for his services but the club failed to agree a deal with any of them.

In the last few days, reports have picked up that the Kotoko striker, who powered in 21 goals would not be part of the Kumasi-based club for the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, Kotoko started their CAF Champions League preliminary campaign on the front foot as an Isaac Oppong goal gifted them a 1-0 victory against RC Kadiogo.
