Former Arsenal player Robin van Persie is optimistic, Thomas Partey will positively impact the club’s quest for a Premier League trophy in the 2023/24 season.

According to the Dutchman, the midfielder’s absence was felt by Arsenal reason they lost out on the title to Man City at the tail end of the last season.

However, he believes, the Ghanaian international will be pivotal to Arsenal’s season this year having narrowly missed out on the Premier League title last season.

“Losing such a player without a brilliant replacement will affect Arsenal, and Arteta knows this,

“He needs to stay and help them do great next season,” he said in an interview as quoted by Arinda Ozillian.

Partey bossed the midfield for Arsenal as they pipped Manchester City to the Community Shield on Sunday, August 6.
