A brace in the 22nd and 30th minutes for Cole Palmer and an assist to Joao Pedro’s goal were enough for the Blues to produce a masterclass against their weekend opposition.

PSG tried to work their way back into the game in the second half, but a resolute Chelsea defence thwarted their efforts with Robert Sanchez at the helm of affairs.

The Ligue 1 Champions’ misery was further compounded when João Neves was sent off for pulling Marc Cucurella’s hair in the 83rd minute.
