All four African teams have been booted out of the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup in the USA.

The 32 competition tournament has witness  an exciting pile of games among participating clubs.

    • Al Ahly (Egypt) – With two draws against Inter Miami and Porto and a loss against Brazilian side, Palmeiras denied African giants an opportunity to the next round of the competition.

    • Wydad AC (Morocco) would have hoped for a better group the next time they turn up at the club World Cup. A 4-1 loss to Juventus and a two-nil loss to ManCity dampened their hopes of securing qualification to the next stage.

    • Espérance de Tunis (Tunisia) was housed in group D alongside, Flamengo (Brazil), Chelsea (England), and Los Angeles (USA) but at the end of three rounds of games, they managed just a single win and lost two games scoring one and conceding five.  This spate saw them finish the group on 3rd behind Flamengo and Chelsea who qualify to the round of 16.

    • Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa) started the group phase with an opening win against South Korean outfit, Ulsan HD. The next game was against Dortmund but they lost gallantly, 4-3. One would have thought, in the final game Fluminese(Brazil) was going to be there for the taking but they failed to nick it past their opponents, drawing, 0-0.
