    English club, Leicester City has named Ghana international Abdul Fatawu Issahaku as their Men’s Young Player of the Year.

     



    This award was handed over to the young footballer at the club’s annual awards ceremony held at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday.

    The teenage sensation joined the former English Premier League winner at the start of the 2023/24 season from Portuguese club, side Sporting Lisbon.

    The 20-year breathtaking performance for the club saw him end the seasons as one of the high performers. He managed an astonishing 20 goals contribution in 39 Championship games for Leicester City. 

    He was crucial in aiding Leicester City to wrap up a wonderful season as he assisted one of Jamie Vardy’s hatrick goals against Preston North End to help secure the Champions title for the Midland club.

    They will have to fork out 17 million ($18.9 million) to secure and seal a deal for Issahaku’s service on a permanent deal from his parent club, Lisbon in Portugal.
