Dutch-Ghanaian player Leeroy Owusu has spoken about his interest in representing Ghana’s senior national team.
The former Ajax youth star spent a decade with the Dutch club before joining Odense Boldklub in Denmark.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Sahara Football’s Selasie Fiawoyi, he detailed how he is anticipating a call-up from the national team’s technical handlers.

“Every Ghanaian player is waiting for this call-up. As a professional football player, you work towards these goals and these big moments.
My parents (father and mother) are both from Ghana, and my wife is Ghanaian as well, so these are moments everyone is looking towards,” he ended.
The fullback, who plies his trade with Danish club Odense Boldklub (OB), has been a consistent performer for his club side since teaming up with them in 2023.
He has been involved in five goal contributions in over twenty-eight appearances for his club in all competitions, and his addition to the Black Stars team could be of real value in the right full-back position.
Ghana is up against Austria and Germany in the March friendly games in preparation for its fifth World Cup slated for North America.
