I enjoyed my stay with Granada than other clubs – Jonathan Mensah
Ghana Black Stars defender, Jonathan Mensah, has recounted sweet and fond memories of his club career days with Spanish side, Granada FC.
According to the hard-tackling defender, he enjoyed every moment he spent playing with the Spanish based setup even though his stint for the club was for a brief spell.
“I enjoyed playing with Granada, Spain, the people love watching football so much that, they had a song for each player.
They sing and chant your name, it was a good feeling, you feel proud and a sense of belonging even though my time was short”
The 30-year old defender went on to make fifteen (15) appearances for the club and notched a goal in the process.
Jonathan Mensah has played for sides like Free State Stars (South Africa), Udinese(Italy), Anzhi (Russia), and the current captain of MLS side, Colombus Crew in the USA.
